Synergy and Yosemite compatibility

I'm having a little problem with iTunes hanging/spinning ball when launching. I have been told amongst other things, that certain extensions or other 3rd party programs may interfere and cause this problem. Personally, I found that almost every Synergy update caused no problems. I really think that the Yosemite, and iTunes syncing are the main cause of my problem, and not Synergy app. Besides the icons not being flat, is there anyone that has observed any conflicts with iTunes that causes the spinning ball or hanging while trying to sync? Thanks for any input. Still love the program, and would love to keep.

You could try quitting Synergy, temporarily moving it's preferences out of the way, and restarting it. You could move the prefs with a command like:
$ mv ~/Library/Preferences/org.wincent.Synergy.plist ~/Desktop/
Just to rule out some kind of prefs file corruption.
